After reaching the Elven Temple located in the northeast of the Nameless Isle (picture1), discuss with the priestess who will tell you the location of the mother tree (picture2). Interact with the tree near the priestess to reach an area where the heart of the Mother Tree is located (picture3).

Note: The choices of this quest will have a major impact. First, discuss with the elf located in front of the Mother Tree. During your conversation, you will have the choice between searching for the Shadow Prince or destroying the mother tree directly (picture4).

Choice No.1 – Confront the elf:
Choose the option “the mother tree must be destroyed”. Confront the elf and the rest of his troupe. If you have Sebille in your team, interact with the heart of the tree to destroy it after winning your fight. If you do not, you will still have to go looking for the Shadow Prince to provide you with the material that will allow you to destroy tree.
Be aware that after facing the Elven Scion, all the elves in the area will go after your group.
Choice No.2 – Search the Shadow Prince:
Get out of the area to find Saheila, if you saved her during “The Elven Seer” quest. The young elf will ask you to kill the mother tree (picture5).

Move to the south of the Nameless Isle, you will find the Shadow Prince to the east of the Temple of Zorl-Stissa (picture6and7). During your discussion, you will have the choice between: Kill the Prince or listen to his argument and agree to kill the mother tree.

Be aware that if Sebille is part of your team, you will have to select the phrase “You sing the song” (picture8). If not, Sebille will permanently leave your group. You can also leave Sebille outside the battlefield during the fight.

Choice No.1 – Kill Shadow Prince:
Kill the Prince and his minions (picture9) then interact with his corpse to collect his Heart, proof of his death (picture10). Go back to the Elven Scion and give her the heart (picture11).

Choice No.1: Eat Shadow Prince’s heart
Choice No.2: Ask Sebille to stay free
Choice No.3: Give Shadow Prince’s heart
Choice No.1: If you eat the heart, you will learn Fan of Knives skill. But you lost the proof of his death.
Choice No.2: If you have Sebille in your team, you will have the choice between asking them to replace the mother tree in the long term or to remain free. If you choose to replace the mother tree, Sebille will get a new talent. If you don’t, you’re going to have to face the Elven Scion.
Choice No.3: Give the heart to the Elven Scions. You will then have to choose one of the following rewards (picture12).

Choice No.2 – Obey the Shadow Prince:
After discussing with the Shadow Prince, you will have the opportunity to accept his plan. In this case, the Prince will give you the item: Deathfog (picture13). Go back to the Elven Scion and confront her (picture14).

Once the fight is over, interact with the heart and place the Deathfog (picture15). All the elves in the area will die (picture16). Go back to the Prince and choose one of the rewards (picture17).
