As he makes a break for the demon, the sun comes out and Nezuko instantly begins to burn. He runs back to shield Nezuko, but quickly begins having a panic attack knowing that he can't save her and the villagers at the same time.

It's a hard moment to watch. Tanjiro is so torn between what to do. He knows that he can't let Nezuko die, but it's his duty to save the villagers and end the demon. Nezuko eventually pushes him off of her and forces him to save the villagers because she knows that it's what he needs to do. Luckily, she develops immunity to sunlight and is completely fine.

The highly anticipated final arc of Demon Slayer is close. At the end of the Hashira Training Arc, the Hashira come face to face with Muzan.
