Fern Britton has attributed her stunning weight loss transformation to one key factor. The 67 year old former This Morning presenter, who once confessed to feeling 'terrified' about getting naked with her new partner, has proudly displayed her slimmed-down figure.
She's been candid about her weight struggles in the past, having fluctuated between a size 22 and a size 12.
Fern is looking healthier and more fit than ever following her recent health kick, despite the controversial decision to have a gastric band fitted back in 2006.
The TV host, who was married to celebrity chef Phil Vickery, 63, for two decades, underwent surgery that reduces the capacity of the stomach and slows down food passage. This procedure aids weight loss by making individuals feel fuller after consuming fewer calories.

In addition to the surgery, Fern reduced her carbohydrate intake and eliminated microwave meals from her diet to enhance the results. However, during the Covid lockdown, she admitted to gaining weight.
Last year, the mother-of-four began a new relationship and confessed that the prospect of her new partner seeing her undressed was 'daunting'. This prompted Fern to embark on a fresh weight loss journey at the beginning of this year, and she has already showcased her impressive results, reports the Mirror.

She attributes her transformed appearance to just one thing - exercise. The former Celebrity Big Brother star radiated happiness in a vibrant pink long-sleeved top paired with black mini shorts as she flaunted her progress.
Fern has seemingly transformed one of her bedrooms into a home gym, complete with a barbell weight and various hand weights. With a photo displaying her toned legs, she captioned: "REPOWERING after a sloth like winter... #TheOlderIGet out in paperback now."
She embarked on a New Year's resolution to achieve the best shape of her life through running, cycling, walking, and weightlifting, expressing determination to adhere to her regimen.

At the year's onset, Fern announced: "I've started running again and gone back to couch to 5K. New year, new fitness regime. Later on in the year I'll be walking a small leg of the south west coast parts which will take about a week to do.
"I'll be meeting my friend, who will be covering the full 360 miles of coast, while I'm prepping with regular weighted rucksack walks and breaking in my boots," she added.
Laying out her fitness objectives, Fern affirmed: "I shall start running again, two or three times a week and I'm going to start cycling again and will do some weights to get my arms and shoulder a bit stronger again."
Reflecting on her physique last October, Fern mused: "It's daunting at any stage of life to get naked with someone new. These days my body looks as if it could do with a good iron or perhaps even better a steam press."

Fern expressed her concerns about seeking a new relationship in her 60s, stating: "So, as I contemplate seeking a new relationship in my 60s, that's a whole added layer of pressure. I have wrinkles, wobbly thighs and bosoms that I roll up like a Swiss roll to tuck them in my bra. Could I display all this to a new partner? I genuinely don't know."
She revealed to the Mail that the prospect of a new relationship is both "terrifying" and "tempting" for her. "Although I see it as an important part of my re-powering, I find the prospect of a new relationship terrifying as well as tempting."
Fern also imagined the possibilities of having a new partner, saying: "I imagine what it would be like to have someone to talk to and walk with. Someone with whom to share hobbies, hold hands and maybe... gulp... get intimate."
